There is a CF FM Radio tuner, but don't order it. It is not compatible with the Axim. The top of the Axim is curved, which keeps the card from seating completely, so there is on connection. I learned this the hard way, and had to deal with returning it.

I emailed the guys at ibiz about there cf radio thingy and this the reply.
"Thank you for your e-mail to iBIZ Technology. The pocket RADIO is currently not compatible with the Dell Axim. We are currently modifying this issue, and should have it resolved within the next month or two. Please continue to check our website for any updates that we may have in regards to this product. Thank you again.
Kind Regards,"
So it looks like in a month or two they should have something out. By the looks of the device the thing stopping it from seating properly is the curved bulge they have at the top of the unit plus the curve on the Axim. If they would of only made it flush.
What was the CF radio supposed to receive just
FM or AM also? Did they (the company that makes
a CF radio receiver) give an idea of if and went they'd
have an Axim ready version?
thanks

It was just an FM radio. I think AM is harder to receive in good quality. Also, I just had to return mine, and when I checked back, they had updated the page to say not compatible with the Axim. So I do not know if they plan on modifying it for the Axim or not.

Don't forget UK fm frequency intervals are different
Rolfy, don't forget UK fm frequency intervals are different. In the US, stations are 200khz apart, on odd decimall point numbers. In other words, 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9. 89.1, 89.3, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't UK fm frequencies on even decimal point numbers? I.E. 88.2, 88.4, 88.6, etc?
I know also that your pre-emphasis curve is different. In the US the fm pre-emphasis curve is centered on 75us. I think in the UK it's 50us (microseconds). Which would mean that an fm tuner made for the American market would sound a little "dull" over there, as the de-emphasis would be a little steeper (attenuating more highs.
I KNOW your am frequency intervals are different. In the Americas am stations are 10khz apart, on even numbers...for example 580, 590, 600, 610, 620, etc. Everywhere other than the Americas am stations are 9khz apart. My suggestion? We should each stay with radios designed for our part of the world!
