Got my email last night that it's ready for pick-up in Santa Rosa, CA. Sears.com said it would only take a couple of hours to receive the email, but it was really about 36 hours. Just have to find time to get there. Poppajon, I will post with the card details when I get it. - mm

I called today to see if they could just call my Sears and tell them I ordered it, and to let me get it for the $99 price instead of the current $200. The person I talked to claimed that there are NO pick up in store orders going through anywhere, and they don't know when they will.
Then she proceeded to try to get me to cancel my order, and just go buy it at the store. I asked if I could get the $99 price if I did that, and she said "well, Sears stores price match, so they might." I am going to take in my order confirmation email and see if they will let me get it for $99 today. If I knew the email wasn't working at all, I would have gone and picked one up yesterday in store, but I thought my order would go through by today, which it hasn't.
I am wondering if they realized the deal was REALLY good, and now don't want to go through with it, so they are trying to get people to cancel their orders. That is what it seemed like when I was talking to the rep. today.

All I can say is SEARS.COM is not ready for prime time......
My email "Pick Up" notice finally arrived about 1 hour ago while I was sitting here at my second job. Not trusting this almost-too-good-to-be-true deal to be true, I sweet talked one of the other ladies who work here at the college library to sit in my seat in the computer resource lab while I ran to Sears (which is just a couple miles up the road at the Ocean County Mall). All seemed to be going well and the kid trying to fill the order (who probably was a washout from Wall Mart) had the damn thing in his hand. But the "skew" number (or is it SKU? I've never worked in retail.....) did not match so it took a couple of supervisors and a computer over-ride for me to walk out with the thing. Mean while, they never looked at my printer email, never asked for the card I used when I ordered it..... Just put it in a bag and handed it to me! The only thing I had to provide (to the touch screen keosk at the entrance) was my phone number......
But anyway, I now have my $99 512MB SanDisk SD card. Hope it works in my Axim.......

I just read the email from PoppaJohn. I feel bad and I think I was just lucky. The new posting for that card at Sears.com is $199. I think the original $99 post was a mistake!

I just noticed that the product insert inside of the blister display pack (doing my best Andy Rooney imitation: "Damn, I hate those plastic blister packs! You need industrial sissors to open them!!") show a SanDisk (who else would it be??) 1.0GB SD card. Has anyone seen those for sale yet??
I look at the 512mb card in it's little plastic case and just shake my head. Not much longer then two years ago, I don't think the harddrives in any of the computers I owned or used were as large as 512MB!! Hard to believe.......
