Could somebody explain the other type of memory that you can add to the Axim. Is it called Secure digital media? Does anybody have any info about it, I notice that the manual does not have much detail about it..

If you mean the slot on the side of the Axim, that is Secure Digital (commonly abrievated 'SD'). It's only for storing files and programs, you can't upgrade the Axim's RAM with cards.

SD cards are available in capacities from 32MB to 512MB currently (though cards over 128MB are quite expensive). Multi Media Card (MMC) are also compatable with the Axim's SD slot and are available in capacities from 8MB to 128MB, they lack write protection but cost a little bit less than SD cards.
