It looks like the PPC is held in with Velcro. Having had this type of case with my Palm, I prefer the slide in type like the Dell leather case.

I'm sure you didn't have a case like this, the Velcro just keeps the PDA from sliding around; the steel shell of this case fully envelops the PDA for maximum protection when it is closed!

The provided Slip in case provides very little protection from crushing or screen breakage!
