Just bought one myself, the count is now down to 74. After reading all the posts of how good this card works with the Axim I decided to go ahead and get one. Yet another use for my Axim.

I bought a couple of these from another source... But

They are great! Very low battery consumption and even better...

Symbol makes software so you can use these in a XP laptop too! Just add an inexpensive PC card to CF adaptor ($5-$7) and away you go. Twice the functionality.

I highly recomend them.

I got mine from him about 1 month ago and have never had a problem with it. I use the current socket ppc2002 drivers.

Be careful here. There are no Symbol PPC2003 drivers. I have found from personal experience that Socket PPC2003 drivers have some issues when being used with Symbol cards. I've had to go out any buy an Ambicom card while I am patiently awaiting for Symbol to release PPC2003 drivers...

There ARE Symbol WM2003 drivers, they are just in beta though. I recieved the beta drivers a week ago and they work great. There are no big problems and everything seems to work fine. This Symbol WiFi Card is great and I have had no problems, even when using the Socket WM2003 drivers.

Where did you get the WM2003 beta drivers? I can't find them on the Symbol website.

Thanks.

I've had issues with the Socket WM2003 drivers and the Symbol card. Specifically, when using IE or file transfers, there would be lockups, or time outs when browsing sites. Also when using Microsoft Messenger, it wouldn't work correctly. Updates wouldn't happen. I wouldn't know people are trying to chat with me, nor would online/offline status changes show.

Yes, please share the link to the beta WM2003 drivers. Why would you withhold that?

The Symbol beta drivers have not yet been publically released. They are supposedly going to post them on their developer site by the middle of this month. (I think anyone can register on the site and request to download the beta drivers once they're available.)

Until then, the few people who were provided copies by Symbol, don't want to release them unless Symbol says its alright. As of now, I don't think they've given the ok.

Where can I get the Symbol card at a good price now that the Ebay deal is dead?

Just keep checking Ebay, doctorsurplus seems to get these in batches. Got mine from him about a month ago and he ran out of that bunch, but soon had more to sell. Plus no issues from him. He responds quickly and ships just as fast.

I got my Symbol from doctorsurplus, too, and he was great. But, other people do sell the cards on ebay, too. Keep checking. Usually, they sell for between $30. and $40. You won't regret buying this super card!
