I have a feeling that EXPANSYS charge you an extra £5 pound for a minimum order, other than that I agree with you about them being cheaper.
Two weeks ago crucial.com (UK) were offering 128SD cards for about the same price as you qouted with a £5 discount - Doh I should of bougt one them!!
Manxman.......

have you tried Amazon? When I ordered the axim I happened to get an email from amazon the next day and got a cheap (2nd hand) 128mb cf card....now all I need is a cheap cf wifi card and a wifi access point and i'm laughing!
I'm not that impressed with expansys's prices - their usb synch (and supposed charger) cable is 29.99 inc vat. The office dell cradle which looks nicer and will definately charge your axim (although a bit bulkier) is £30. I think i'd rather have the official dell product.

Has anyone purchased the 256 SD (SanDisk) cards from eBay on a buyit now basis for £54 approx. + shipping from New York?
Looks a good deal, although I've read mixed posts here regarding reliability/issues with Axim? and SanDisk.
ebuyer may also be worth a look. 128 SD (PQI) for £44.67 delivered (although stock level is dubious) and 256M CF (PQI) for £57.73 delivered.
Crucial currently have 256 CF £54.04 inc vat & shipping
still looking..... Axim should arrive Monday

Ade,
Hope you get your Axim soon!
I bought a 256 SD from ebay, same link you supplied. Ordered it about two weeks ago, the SD card arrived (brand new and sealed) 3 working days later (Global Delivery from New York).
The card works great (for me). I've filled it with mp3s, deleted some of them, put pdfs on it, installed programs for the Axim on it so not to use the unit's memory, uninstalled them... bla bla...
Would recommend it for sure from my experience. Price seems fair to me as £90 for 64 or 128mb is too expensive. I think I payed about £58 including insured delivery on ebay.
Cheers

the only problem with ordering from the states is if customs get their hands on it! (the reason I waited until the axim was available in the uk!)

The post I made above regarding the SD cards on ebay are delivered from the States, however, they're intentionally packaged in 'Global Priority' private envelopes with no invoices which makes them immune to customs bad people!

Bought a 256Mb SD through ebay - buzzlghtyrby.
Ordered Wed, arrived Sat ! for £61 all in - NO VAT, CUSTOMS - they won't bother because he writes gift and value = $10 on the package, hence package was not tampered with by Post Office.
I would definitely recommend this seller - look at his feedback.
PROBABLY the cheapest SD merchant on the net ????

I've just received my 256mb Sandisk SD card from New York, off Ebay too, (Bzzlghtyrby). Arrived in 4 days, and works like a charm.
It was the first time i'd used ebay and so I was a little sceptical, but if all my experiences are like this then i'll use it a lot more.
£52 (pluss a fiver delivery) compared to up to £150 in the UK!! Who can argue with that!

Bertie
I am interested in buying the 256 SD card.
Can you tell me a little bit more about ebay?
Have you got to register or can you just buy stuff from them?
Also Bertie can you give me the exact URL that you used because a search on ebay brings 100's of results up.
Thanks in advance.
Peter
