Reading the specs on the SimpleTech website, I think this memory card is 10X if they rate them by burst speed. I saw Lexar for about $15 more but they are the 12X units. I don't see too much difference myself for what I want to do with it ;)

I was thinking of the above since I want to start using it more for some MP3s, Mapopolis maps and maybe even a photo album.

Anyone know of any better deals? This rebate is good untill March 31.

Hey Dennis,
Just stick with your 256 MB card and convert your MP3's to WMA format and you will be able to fit more, as long as you keep the bitrate between 22 & 28 kbps.
