I have the Bellagio flip-style case which costs less than the Piel Frama, but it uses the same principle. And it also fits the larger battery.

MEF38, you out there?
I know this thread is a bit stale, but I just got the oportunity to look at your "work in progress" website and Saw the Dell X5 batteries. Awesome prices.
My questions are:
1. Who is the manufacturer of the batteries?
2. what kind of warranty is offered?
3. Free Shipping for the X5 stuff too?
Looking forward to buying a new 3800 battery.

Please don't cancel this anytime soon. I plan on buying one but can't until next payday (this Friday). :not_worth

The Aximsite special will remain for some time to come. As long as you buy from us on eBay, you will save the shipping. We haven't figured out how to do it on our web store yet. We're working on it though.

Great, thanks!
Quick question about the batteries. Is it or is it not vital to prep the battery by fully charging and discharging it several times? I keep getting conflicting information.

It is not necessary to "prep" it as you say. What you do need to do is once you get the battery, charge it completely for 12 hours. Then, always try to discharge it completely (while using it). Only after doing this several times will you get the most out of your battery.

Damn, is it too late to do that after a week? I've pretty much kept it fully charged so far. It hasn't gone down to less than 75% so far.

do this like me
listen to mp3 on demand over LAN for 4 hours
it's not late
but it's recommended that to let the battery power down to about 10%, then charge every 2 weeks or 10 cycles (whichever is longer) to obtain optimized performance and shelf life

Alright!
Just one Question:
When I buy on ebay, the shipping is free?

Aximsite members benefit from free shipping for all orders on eBay. That will eventually be extended to our web site once we can figure out how to do it.

I'm in the process of ordering my battery off of ebay, but how do I get the no shipping charge discount for Aximsite users?

Just a few days ago I ran into these links to a battery engineering company that wrote in detait about the different kinds of batteries.
What I do remember is their advice to NOT discharge LiOn batteries . They stated that they don't suffer from the memory effect like the older NiMh batts.
Another point theu made is to store a LiOn at no more than a 40% charge for any long period of time. Storing it with a full charge will actually cause it to loose some of it's capacity.
I'll post the links if I happen to find them again.

Actually charge and discharge didn't mean you really need to discharge it. Just like normal situation to use the battery. After few chargeing time, you can get the same effect like charge discharge procedure. If you have not use the lion battery for a while. The battery capacity and running time will goes down even your are fully charge the battery again. The battery would be on optimze performance thought charge and discharge few times. :exc:

I ordered my 3800 battery from MEF and it came in a very timely fashion. Great service.
I'm on my first "discharge" at the moment, and this batter lasts forever compared to the standard battery that came with my X5 Advanced.
Highly recommended.
