There's CF card cameras, but there's been issues of fit w/ the design of the top surface of the Axim extending past the edge of the card. camera

Following information from tech specs makes it compatible with Axim:

- Compatible with Win CE 3.0 or later

- StrongARM, MIPs and XScale processors supported

Thanks anspa , but the problem someone else had w/ a CF radio tuner was that it physically didn't fit in the Axim. The top surface of the X5 is domed up above the top of the CF card, and the device couldn't be inserted all the way.
I've got a moto-tool and grinders, but what about that darned ear-phone jack.

Well, you're right, we can only speculate until someone actually would try it. I would order it, but after spending some $$ on cf & sd memory plus wireless card, with gps cf unit coming in the mail.. I may have to wait a little bit.

Though.. camera's proportions on the picture and dimmensions from the specs makes me 99% sure it is going to fit Axim. AM/FM card looked half shorter than this one.

I am more concerned about picture quality. 640x480 and plastic optic could be not so cool.

As about measurements: the part which goes into Axim's CF slot should be at least 1.65 in (42mm).

I'm sticking with my 2 megapixel Digital Elph and swap CF cards with my Axim if I need a larger LCD screen! ;)

Anspa ... great slogan!

I doubt anyone would use this CF camera for National Geographic stuff, but for job-site reminder snaps and other such casual use, it might be better than taking along the Nikon.

GPS card I have ordered is Holux GM-270 CF from http://www.semsons.com
It seemed to be the only site which offered them for sale in US. Reasons: -low power consumption; -good precision; -reportedly works perfect with Axim. I have read about compatibility problems with Pretec CF and Axim.

I will start another thread here to share my experience after I actually receive the card. Feel free to drop me an email.
