Zipzoomfly sale on 256mb Kingston SD cards
Zipzoomfly has a 256mb Kingston SD card for $25.90 with free 2nd day shipping, then a $15 mail-in rebate, which makes it $10.90. You can get one or two with the rebate. I ordered one when it was $18 after the rebate from Newegg and it's been working great in my X5.

Here's the link to the SD card:

And the rebate, which is linked on that page:

I'm so glad that these things are finally becoming affordable. I have a GPS unit taking up the CompactFlash slot, and now I'll be able to put maps on the SD cards because they're getting so inexpensive :)

I reccomend you pass on the kingstond 256SD. I got one along w/ my X30hi and the write speed on it is horrendous. SPB Benchmark said it operates at 10KB/sec write speed when doing large files and only 4KB/sec when doing 5KB files. Thats 0.02x.

On the plus side the read speed is very very fast so once you've spent all those hours filling the card at least it can read fast. I'll probably be going out and buying another SD card, but this time paying attention to write speed before i make a purchase.

Too late. :azz: Mine is on the way already. I am just going to use this one for Tunes anyhow. I have a 512 card for my regular memory. Oh well!

Ya i mostly just use mine for programs and documents. When you copy files to it do it through a card reader attached to your computer if you can. It's significantly faster than doing it through the axim on the usb cradle.

This sucker has just gotten even cheaper. Try 9.90 after rebate now. This is flaming hot. So close to far. I can see it coming very soon...
