my Krusell case has arrived

I received my Krusell case exactly one week after I placed my order on the net (beraing in mind the long Easter weekend in-between) with 3elimited. Quite efficient service.

My first initial impression is good to excellent.

The only problem I had (which others have already mentioned elsewhere in this forum) is that I now cannot use my finger to switch my Ax on or off (not even with my wife's petite little finger ;) ).
Now resorted to using the stylus to switch on, and using ICBar to enable my "start" logo to do a software-enabled power-off. Do not consider this as a major problem, though.

Will post more in due course after living with the new case for a week or two.

Hambalan, I was going to go for this case from the States before I stumbled across this site.

Bit confused about what the "multidapt" clip on system means and therefore don't know what to buy.

I just want something to clip the Axim onto the top of my trousers .

Any advice?

Good case in the UK for around £7!

I brought this case a while ago to hold my minidisc player, just tryed it with my axim and it fits great! Realy secure and nicely padded! Plus it was only £7 I think from HMV. Its by a company called Caselogic. It will hold my axim with seperate space for my headphones, and has a belt clip. Their is also room for my minidisc at the same time (or some memory).
Great case for the price!! :D

I totally understand why your feel confused with the Multidapt system. I felt exactly the same when I first came across the idea.

Well, basically, Multidapt is a system whereby you can use a variety of "clip" in conjunction with your case, depending on your particular requirement.

You need to do a bit of research to see what different "clip" are designed for, and what suits your needs. The best info probably comes from the horse's mouth, thus, try the original manufactuer's web site:

http://www.krusell.se/pholders.asp

Anyway, I ordered two clips with my Krusell case, a spring clip and a slide swivel clip. Since I received the case + clips, I have been using the swivel, because it just suits my need perfectly. Like a normal belt clip, it clips onto my belt. But the beauty of the clip is that it is free to move (rotate) without fear of it coming off my belt. I do a lot of driving, and it allows me to position my Ax horizontally - no more digging into the seat again. Also, depending where you wear the Ax on your belt, you can rotate it so you may gain easier access to your trousers pockets.

I hope the above make sense. Just ask if you have any more questions.

Just ordered my Krusell case from 3elimited.com today, they stock 3 different types the Covertec (nearly brought it, but looks like the PDA might fall out too easily!), Krusell and a hard case.

Will let you know how long it takes to arrive, was £26.53 in total including case, miniclip and uk delivery.

:D

quite liked the look of the convertec.

Would be interested to hear how you get on with the case and the adaptors that you ordered!

I nearly went for the covertec until I looked at the pics close up, lovely case, just looks a bit too heavy.

Will let you know when the Krusell arrives - hopfully not too long, as the Dell case is absolutely useless - great hardware though! This multi-adapt stuff all new to me :crooked:

2 q's:

1 - Anyone considered the new (expanding - handy for anyone with the 3400mh battery) RhinoSkin leather case? Any thoughts, advice?

2 - Anyone in the UK with 'real' experince of ordering blindly from the US? The RhinoSkin mentoned in 1 isn't in the UK yet (unless any of you know better??). What are the chances of getting stung by UK customs for VAT/Duty...??

Cheers,

P.

You will get stung by customs unless the product is £18 or under (about that), or the vender is "customs" friendly and states on the shipping docket that the value of the enclosed product is less than £18. Some companies do this - ask. Expect to pay around 23% on top of the US asking peice. That's !7.5% VAT plus the standing cuntoms charge.

Just received my Krusell case this morning (22/5) from 3ELimited. Took about 7 days, probably down to the post as they sent it recorded delivery on 17th!

Very pleased with it, the Multiadapt Miniclip is useful, although very fiddly too attach, removal is simple.

The case fits the Axim perfectly (have to remove to charge in cradle) just the same point as others - can't press the power button in by finger without using the stylus - other than that, very nicely made.

I cannot understand why Dell doesn't supply a case of this type as standard!

Jinx!!!

Got mine (Krussel) yesterday as well. Really like it! Looks very classy as well as being v functional. Feel a bit sad with it hanging off off my trousers, but needs must.

This Dell is brilliant. Wish I'd got it sooner!

Thanks for the hints in this thread!
