I ordered one from PC Connection, and received it in plenty of time to send in the rebate form. More expensive though ... $87.94 shipped after rebait. It's a big, fat type II.

ya mines a type 1 then, there is a pretty big gap in between when placed in my axim.... damn if only i knew about this earlier i would have bought a type II since their both the same price
I looked up the SimpleTech card on their website to check the Write speeds. Their tech specs list two:
Write Speed: 3 MB/sec
Features: High speed write performance up to 1.5MB/sec
I assume, then, that the 3 MB/sec speed that Dell advertises is the burst speed. Can anyone confirm this? Just trying to figure out how good this deal is.

Have a LOOK HERE. It may be a bit outdated, but still relavent.
I'm familiar with that site, in fact, that's one of the reasons I was interested in the SimpleTech. However, one of the drawbacks is that the site doesn't list specific model numbers. That, couple with the conflicting numbers on SimpleTech's site, compounds my confusion.
