Just took delivery of my Axim today.
I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish
of the unit, and the overall bang for the
buck. Dell has a winner here.

I took delivery of a 300mhz model with
the basic AC and USB cables. I spent
several years using a cradle with Palm
products, and I'm regretting not having
ordered the cradle for the Axim.

Should I spring for the cradle?
I'm concerned about the wear and tear
the unit will undergo with the frequent
plugging and unplugging.
Does the cradle have a good firm hold?

Thanx.

I have the synch cradle (for my desktop and charging) and the synch cable (for my laptop. IMHO, the cradle looks very cool and it's nice to have the Axim held up so something goesn't accidently get laid on top of it. Also, it's very cool because it can charge an extra battery, if you have one. But it doesn't have any other value. The synch cable is one of the best in the business. With even just reasonable care, it should last the life of the Axim.
