If you try the Dell deal with numbers 11111-x50v624s I believe it is, it gets a great deal for 440. You get a battery, and 3 years warranty! It is a great deal that still works.

Does Dell usually have deals like this every so often or is it pretty rare for a deal? I am looking at buying an Axim and I am not sure whether I should just go ahead with it now or wait till theres another big deal like this one. Any suggestions?

There's a guy in the classifieds selling for $450 with 256 SD card. This is about the same, as mine came out to $458.85 including the damn GST and PST.

The 10 or 15% offf is quite common are free stuff. That 7 days of deals is rare and you have to be quick. Everytime there is something I like it is gone by the time I check.
