I went to staples, and they told me that there is no rebate on a 32 mb SD card, but there is one when you buy a 128 MB SD card, and its something like getting 30 MIR on it. Is this just bad luck?

They dont seem to know about it, but it exists. Just use the link to the rebate form posted early on in this tread.
You have until the end of May, or until they run out of stock - whichever comes first.

Ya i went to staples the other day and the guy said that if i got a 128 meg then i got the 32 meg for free. So i was like well there is a rebate on your online rebate center that says differently and that the only required product is the 32 meg SD card. So he really didnt believe me and said it was something like an online deal so i showed him the printout of the rebate. He is like "Hmm, i can check you out over here." Total was like $31 and some change. So basically a 32 meg SD card for like $1. I filled my SD card up in 3 minutes but hey, its free.

Just got back from the store with mine. The help there also had no idea about it. He did mention that the 64mb card was $29 and had a $10 dollar rebate. So I figure if I pick one of them(64mb) up I'll have 96mb for 19 dollars after all the rebates. Seems like a good deal for someone starting out. Maybe I'll grab a 256mb just for price.

This appears to be a borderline scam. I, of course, had my rebate rejected by the RebateHQ clowns (invalid UPC). I called and the first person I talked to "Angela" told me that only purchases that were made on 3/23 or 3/24 are valid, regardless of what the rebate slip says. She told me to see the store manager.
I called back 2 minutes later and talked with "Ted" who told me that my request was valid and he would recommend that company pay me and I should check back in a couple of weeks to see if the change occured.
I'll stay on top of this. No way would I have wasted my cash on a little 32M SD card if it wasn't for this deal.
Someone on Fat Wallet posted the South Florida BBB site for complaints. I'm off to there now!

[B]Just beware that you're going to need to call the rebate center to have them validate your rebate because of a glitch in their computer systems (ref: post on the 1st page of this thread).
I was able to get one of mine validated today. The other was sent to some special review panel or something (i.e. check back in 15 days). It all depends on which CSR you get on the phone.
GL!
Phone #: 1-877-266-6483
Instead of waiting on the line until somebody answers, follow these steps which is much quicker
Press 1 (if you're a Staples customer)
Press 2 (check status of rebate)
Press *
Press *
Now you should hear "please wait for the next CSR" or similar. If you press the 2 * too quickly then you might need to press * once more.

Well....I received my letter of rejection tonight, spoke with the CSR that answered the phone, was denied, then spoke with his supervisor who also rejected me. Tried to tell em that is was all on the site, which they also denied. Then I called Staples, and they were quick to correct my problem. All I can say is "Don't give up".....you may have to work a little to earn that $30.

MasterLaz,
When you say you called Staples, who exactly did you call, the store where you purchased the card or some national HQ? If it was some national site, can you provide the phone number?
Thanks!
May the battle continue...
