If you ever actually receive the rebate, a 90% discount is an awesome deal.

I would be very skeptical about purchases made at www.buy.com. I had many bad experiences with them especially related to mail-in rebates. They always ship their products verrrry late (actually when it is too late for mail-in rebatest to be valid anymore). They show the item as "In Stock" when you are going to order, but after couple of days they tell you that it is backordered.

In fact this same product couple of weeks back was offered at a price of $25 with mail-in of $27, so actually you get back $2. I ordered it and after like 5-7 days I got an email saying that it is not in stock and will be available quite late. I waited for some time and when I felt that there is no point in waiting any longer, I cancelled the order. Invariably they ship the product after the mail-in rebate period which is 05/15 (just couple of days away) and so your mail-in rebate is not valid. So you end up paying $30 for 256MB CF card, which IMHO is not worth it.

The card is good for cameras. But I would say that you should buy it assuming that you are not going to get your mail-in rebate. So decide for yourself whether the 256MB CF card is worth $30.
