are sd and cf cards rewritable? do you add delete programs or files through the file explorer and add/remove programs? throw a little learnin' my way and I'd preciate it. ;)

Well, meldor, I'm new to this also, but since no one has answered your post, I'll tell you what I think I know!

SD card is rewritabe.

You can delete, copy. cut, etc. from the file explorer I think. I downloaded a different file explorer program whick I think is easier to use (Resco Explorer 2003. I don't remember where I found it, but maybe a search on google would locate it) and I know I can do the deleting on that.

Just so you have a second opinion - yes you can read/write/delete files on memory cards just like you do in any folder on your device via File Explorer. You can also access them via the Explorer feature in ActiveSync from your desktop PC.
