Sandisk 1GB Extreme III SD $112 shipped

This card is way-overkill for PDA use, but if you have a fast vid or digicam, this might be the way to go - 20MB/sec read/write speed and RescuePRO data recovery software.

Don't forget to copy/paste the free UPS shipping code in the promotion codes box at checkout!

Best price I've been able to find. Just ordered mine and will report impressions and try to run some benchmarks next week. :approve:

Isn't Extreme II way overkill as well???? Can an Axim really address memory at that rate?

You are correct. The Axim only has about 8x read and less than 1x write speed, depending on the card, but you would want to use a USB card reader to perform large file transfers anyway rather than relying on ActiveSync.

The regular "blue" Sandisk cards are 32x. The only reason I invested in the Extreme (I already have an Ultra II 60x) is to shoot 30fps 640x480 video in my new Canon SD400.
