I was a little perplexed when I heard about them too.

Look at the coupon/deal forum here. Some have posted the coupon codes. There is a sticky note (in that forum) also with websites telling you how to get coupon codes.

One month agao I paid $342 for X50v + extra 2200 mah battery + 2 more yr warranty. If I were you I will pass this current one.

So I signed up for the email updates on the Dell website yesterday morning, but haven't gotten any emails -- how long does it take? Is it a once a week thing or something?

Desparate for a new PDA...

Its a once a week thing and you can't plan on it. If you want a coupon bad then buy one off of eBay. Else sit back and wait till the sun, earth & moon line up correctly and then the Dell savings goddess will offer her blessings and discounts. :)
