You SAVE down that file: http://www.eugenia.co.uk/belkin/Bluetooth.txt on your Axim and THEN you import it with the registry TRE program.

thanks for the response, i click the link that you have provided -- it opens with the first line reading

"regedit4"
followed by a few lines that read hkey_current_user

when i save this --save file as-- i give it a directory that is in my X5

after opening the TRE program, and trying to Import it from the location i picked i get an error -- syntax error-- followed by -- message importing was finished.

but the 3 files that are under ....explorer..database -- have not changed

any thoughts?

How did you download the file? I suggest you use Firefox, it worked for me. Firefox saved down the file on my desktop, I activesync my X5, I open "Explore" from the activesync window, I drag-n-drop the registry file in there. Then, I go out of activesync mode, I take my X5, I open the TRE program, and I tell it to import that text file from the My Documents folder. And it does it fine, without errors.

And then, I install the drivers and I try the card and it works.

ok,,i downloaded Firefox per your suggestion. when i clicked on the link you provided, it opens a new browser window with same info as my last post. so i click "file" -- "save page as" then place that saved file to my desktop. using explorer which i opened from my X5 it took the file placed it in. still nothing.

i know this is frustrating because of my lack of understanding. please be patient. thank you

What do you mean "still nothing"? If the bluetooth.txt file is now on your X5 and the TRE program is installed, all you have to do is "import" the file through TRE (from its menu). And it just works. If it doesn't work for you, well, I don't know what's wrong then.

BTW, make sure your X5 is a PPC2003, and NOT a PPC2002. For PPC2002 the Belkin card has native drivers and none of these extra steps are required.

yes, confirmed it has 2003 installed. do i need to install the belkin drivers then install the dell drivers?

lets start over with your second step. when i click on your link it opens a new window with hkey stuff in it. how do i download it? because when i go to file,,save as,, and i save it to my x5 then i get an error.

I received that Belkin BT card (older model) this past Friday. I followed Eugenia's instructions, and it worked just like she said it would. Very awesome...thanks!

I thought the Belkin Bluetooth CF Combo worked with WM2003. It says so, but when I install it, it opens the add/remove programs dialog box, as if the drivers aren't supported. Are there any updates?
