Eugenia - I am unfamiliar with RapidShare - how do I locate the TXT file and the drivers that were previously posted on your site?
Thanks much!
Just click on the link and it should guide you thru the download, it worked for me 40.1 mb
By the way I just got this card for $35 from ideal discount brand new
Using the procedure outlined by Eugenia, I have successfully implemented bluetooth GPS with the Belkin bluetooth CF card on my Axim X5 running PPC 2003 and the BT-359 GPS receiver. So far, this setup works better, faster and more efficiently than my old Deluo CF GPS.
Sadly, Mapopolis has abandoned consumer sales so eventually I will need a new source for maps.
I installed the drivers according to Eugenia's recommendations. BT works ok, except for one annoying thing. If I start BT service, pair with with a BT GPS, run Mapopolis and subsequently power off my Axim, then I can not power on the Axim unless/until I do soft reset.
Perhaps, it somehow related to excessive power drain, or a luck of some resources. Any ideas?
I also noticed that if I power off Axim which only runs BT and no Mapopolis, then it can be subsequently powered on, but it starts in a strange dimmed mode. So that I have to go to the system settings to restore the brightness. I have never experienced such a change of brightness before.
I need to say that all the time Axim is connected to power supply and the battery (although very old) appears to be fully charged. Could it be the old battery, which just can not supply enough pick power in the tuning on time?
NOTE: By "powering off/on" I mean pressing the "Power" button.
Thanks.
UPDATE:
I noticed that if I stop BT connection (in my case, with BT GPS), I can avoid the issue. That is every time I am going to power off the Axim, I have to first make sure that there is no active BT connection. If I forget to stop BT, then after powering off, the Axim will not power on unless/until I do soft reset. Is it normal ?
Using the procedure outlined by Eugenia, I have successfully implemented bluetooth GPS with the Belkin bluetooth CF card on my Axim X5 running PPC 2003 and the BT-359 GPS receiver.
Is your Axim X5 300Mhz or 400Mhz (advanced) model? Can you power off and on your Axim with BT and Mapopolis running as I discussed in my previous post?
In your installtion, have you first imported the registry patch and only then installed the BT drivers (as per Eugenia's procedure)? Or have you done vice versa, that is, in reverse order as advised by another contributor?
P.S. I can share my US/Canadian Mapopolis maps for educational purposes.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was on vacation in one of our national parks, blissfully disconnected from civilization. That is not to say that I was not looking forward to using my X5 & BT-359 GPS for navigating. In yet another senior moment I neglected to pack my charging cable. My main and backup batteries discharged resulting in a hard rest - leaving me with no BT drivers, no Mapopolis program. First thing I did when I got home was to install a backup program that creates self-executing files.
So, rybshik, here are the answers to your questions:
- my X5 is the 400Mhz model and I bought the big battery (lumpy but lasts long)
- I don't remember how it worked before the hard reset, but since I reinstalled everything I have the same issue as you do ~ if I power off my X5 without breaking the Bluetooth connection (I press "stop" on the Mapopolis GPS page) then I cannot power back on without a soft reset.
- I do not have the strange dimmed screen issue you describe.
- I patched the registry first per Eugenia's instructions - if you get a better result reversing the process please post and let me know.
- Thanks for the map offer, my subscription will last long enough for me to download all the maps I will need.
Around 6 months ago, I used your excellent instructions to set up my TrueMobile300 BT card on my Axim X5, and it worked a treat. however following a hard reset, and a total inability to find the drivers I downloaded (dumb or what?!) I can't restore my PDA. The Link to the drivers you have recently posted (i.e. via RapidShare) do not appear to work for me (I get a file 'belkin.zip' that is about 13k and not recognised as a zip. Can you help please?
Thank you, thank you!
I had pretty much given up on getting this Belkin card to work with my X5. With your instructions, I am now able to make connection with the GPS receiver (Holux M-1000) and get recognized by TT6.
help! tonight I had to hard reset my X5 and now I got the bluetooth working again however it will no longer connect to my i-blue GPS it keeps failing on the connection for some reason.
Geeks.com has a super price on the Belkin F8T020 Bluetooth CF card:
F8T020-FL, Bluetooth Pda Adapter Card, Belkin F8t020, Bluetooth Pda Adptr Card
Now, the problem is, Belkin does not offer PPC2003 drivers (but it works great with PPC2002 in case you haven't upgraded your X5). Update: Please read below where I detail how to get PPC2003 support with the F8T020.
Geeks.com also sells cheaply the PPC2003-capable F8T006 bluetooth card (aka 'F8T020 version 2') for $25: F8T006, F8t006-pc, Pc Adapter Combo Card, Bluetooth Pda Adapter Card This is the second model from Belkin regarding Bluetooth cards and it's better supported.
I have the X5 with PPC2003 and the Belkin F8T020. I had it working for quite awhile using widcom drivers (I think). Unfortunately, I accidentally hard reset the X5 and lost the drivers that worked. All I can find now are the drivers that don't work. Any Ideas for finding the workable drivers?
Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum.
This topic related to the use of the BT CF card Belkin model F8T020 is of great interest to me at this point in time. Therefore kindly ask the knoledgeable people here to help me or to direct me to the right place in finding the answers I need, although a bit off-topic by going in a direction opposite to wm2003.
So, I have a Bluetooth CF card Belkin model F8T020 version 2 (rectangle) that I want to use on a HPC2000 machine and of course the downloaded driver <Bluetooth Manager.PPC300_2577.cab> did not work. Can somebody please help me by pointing to the right location to download the compatible driver for HPC2000 w CE3.0?
Many thanks!
