Hi everyone. This is my first post as a new member of this site. I lurked here for a few weeks as I researched which PDA to purchase. I obviously chose to buy an Axim.

I watched the various deals that Rad-Man was posting and when I decided to buy I gave him a call on Tuesday night (April 22). He answered on the second ring and asked me to hold while he finished with another customer.

When he came back on the line he gave me this deal:
Axim advanced with 3 pack of stylii (at my request) for $270 including shipping. Needless to say I jumped on it. The Ax arrived today and it is undergoing its 4 hour preliminary charge as I write this. I can't wait to set it up.

Rad-Man was super easy to deal with and he is definitely an asset to Dell. I called him again last night to see if he could hook my friend up with a deal on a desktop. After he checked a few things he referred us to the business site where there were better deals to be had. Not many people would forego a sale to help someone get a better price. We looked at the deals on the business site but my friend decided he would rather wait for a deal on the home and home office site because he doesn't like the case designs offered on the business site. So Rad-Man, you didn't lose a sale after all and we will call you again.

If anyone else is lurking out there waiting for a deal on an Axim, call Rad-Man and he will come through for you.

Does Rad-Man make commission or is he just looking to get in good with Michael Dell (who I've read uses a Blackberry RIM)?

The business dept offers the same systems as home. What designs did he not like? If I remember correctly, you asked about a 4550.

maybe if you tell me exactly what he wants, I'll be able to give you a better idea.

rad man...... is $270 shipped with tax? if so, i could definatly jump on this.

the lowest i can get for the advanced is $287.68 with shipping/tax to CA using 20% auto off and stackable 10% coupon. which states are there no tax to? the extra $20 something is rough.

if that's the best we can do let me know. i'm still a bit rocky at $287, but $17 less at $270 shipped/with tax could possibly change my mind. :D

Does rad-man work on weekends? I've emailed him but just wanted to see if i should expect a call this weekend or on monday afternoon.

As far as Ax's go, they took away the auto 15%. So there isnt much I can do other than 10%. BUT! ....you do get a free leather case :crooked:

Lobo_Pac: Just so you know, since Dell is not physically located in my state I don't pay sales tax. I guess it's different in CA. My shipping was $8.

Texas based, Taxes on all accounts if purchased in Texas. Someone was saying Florida gets taxed also for home sales? Is that right?


Business sales gets taxed also I think.

Oregon is not taxed. I shipped to my office there and picked up on a trip because Ohio was taxed.

that is a small business deal- I'm a Home sales rep, so I cant honor that :mad:

I think we take turns, though. home had a better sale last week, while business was at full price.

rad-man.....there is a new $45 off of $350 stackable coupon. i can't seem to get it to work for the axim. can you do anything with this?

it's for "peripherals." is the axim not considered a peripheral in home? i'm pretty sure it is in small business.

I can check it tongiht when I go in for work. just make sure your order is over 350, thou. (especially if i dont charge shipping, and there's no tax in your area)

yeah...i added a $9 pack of sylus to get over $350. still no go. no added % off either. still looking. think i might get a refurbed 300 through compgeeks to get into one cheap and make sure i like the transition from palm os to ppc. still looking for good deals though. :D
