$167.76 for 1.0GB Sandisk CF!! (no rebates)
Hi all,

I found another deal on the Dell Small Business site, again, not sure how long it will last (probably this weekend only), but here's the breakdown

$233.00 Sandisk 1.0 GB Compact Flash
-20% off Select DELL peripherals (Worked for me, ask me how)
-10% off coupon (code: 4491A592C8BB, expires 4/27/03)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
$167.76 + free shipping + taxes

I have reason to believe this is the cheapest 1 Gig CF yet, and best of all no rebates. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. But for now.... Yeah! It's your birthday! Oh, yeah! It's your birthday! Go Camel, it's your birthday! Hehe.

What about the "stay the heck away from SanDisk" routine?

Seriously, EVIL.

What if I could offer you a 20% discount on sulphur and brimstone? You wouldn't want it... And why? -It's evil.

Sandisk cards don't work.
Sure, they might for a bit and then they crash.

Just a heads up.

Memorex makes the second worst EVERYTHING.

BASF makes the worse everything of all. Do they still even make consumer products?

How did I do it?
Go to the Dell Small Business site, follow this route by clicking: Software & Peripherals --> Handhelds --> Handheld Accessories --> Find the Sandisk 1.0 GB Compact Flash card for $233.00 (for some reason it is listed as a Dell product. This is why the automatic 20% off Dell peripherals reduction works)

Click to put the item in your cart and add the 10% off coupon. I know there's a 15% off coupon floating around also, but DON'T use it because it REPLACES the 20% off coupon (basically, it's not stackable).

As for the quality of Sandisk, there is a really big problem with Sandisk Secure Digital cards. A lot of people are unsatisfied with them, but....this is a Compact Flash card by Sandisk, which has absolutely no problems. I've read about their CF cards, and there are zero problems with them.

Good news?

Been using a Lexar for a couple months now, and have several friends and family members that use a variety of Lexar SD and CF cards. Some of them have had for over a year with no problems. I've personally had no problems with my 256MB Lexar SD. They have come way down in price now, and with rebates on top of them most of the time, they are an excellent deal right now.

Got a Lexar 256 SD in the slot and no, I say "no" problems. Had it for about 6 weeks, been through 2 flash upgrades (just popped it out) and it just keeps humming along.

I have a SAnDisk 1 gig CF. Had it for about a month now. No problems whatsoever (whereas with the 256 mg SanDisk CF I had problem right when I started using it)! No problems at all with my SanDisk SD cards (knock on wood) ;).

ok ok. So its, avoid memorex at all cost. Go for lexar, and be a bit wary about sandisk. Right????
