Sandisk Ultra II SD Plus USB 1GB deal at Circuit City
Just thought I'd let you guys know they are selling this card for just under $100 (US) over there right now. That's a pretty good deal for a retail store if you can't find it online for cheaper. I think MSRP is ~$150 normally.
I just picked this up yesterday, and I'm really liking it so far. It really solves the prob I always have w/ USB keys and storage cards as it relates to my PDA. USB keys are great for transferring data around and at a friend's place, but you can't use data from a USB key on your PDA right away. Stuff like SD cards is better to carry around if you wan access on your PDA, but then I have to lug around a bulky card reader which is annoying. This thing seems to have been designed just for me as it's a USB key that also doubles as a SD card. No more card reader!
I'm pretty impressed w/ it so far. Read/write speeds as a USB key actually are faster than my fastest USB key which is the PQI I-Stick 2.0. I noticed performance seems to be slower on my USB 2.0 card reader. It could be that my Lexar Card Reader is not the most efficient model out now.
Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up on this. I've been looking for a "more universal" type storage device to go w/ my PC and PDA like this for a while. :)
