1.5 gig microdrive (some disassembly required) $50

OK, first off I know there are lots of issues with microdrives, as in its hit or miss if the brand will work...but hey for $50 ($45 + $5 shipping) can you really go wrong? If it doesnt work, well you got yourself a cheap 1.5 gig storage drive. If it does work, you can pass it on info to others and we can all harvest :)
Other ones, same brand (add $5 shipping) -
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820228027 2 gigs, $70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820228037 3 gigs, $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820228036 4 gigs, $110
Here is the price/storage ratio in case anyone wanted to know (FYI, the 1 gig is the same price as the 1.5)
1500 megabytes / $45 = 33 megs/dollar or 3 cents/megabyte
2000 megabytes / $70 = 28 megs/dollar or 3.5 cents/megabyte
3000 megabytes / $80 = 37.5 megs/dollar or 2.7 cents/megabyte
4000 megabytes / $110 = 36.3 megs/dollar or 2.8 cents/megabyte
as you can see, the 3 gig is the best bang for the buck, with the 4 gig nearly the same, then the 1.5 behind it. So if you can spend the extra for a 3 or even a 4, definitly go for it, otherwise, your device will not hurt from another 1.5 gigs for basically pocket change ;)
I would do this, but a) I have no money to speak of to throw around, and b) I need my CF slot for my GPS (which funny enough, isn't working with mapolopis  )
/edit: Clarifcation on these devices: they are basically, microdrives with a USB convertor in a single shell. YOU HAVE TO DISASSEMBLED TO GET THE MICRODRIVE OUT, hence the title. It shouldn't be difficult but of course, it's slightly technical and some people shy away from that...but for the price, can you really say no? Also, I have to stress, I can't make any guarantee that these will work in Axims, as they are funny with microdrives, and I have to finally say, I can't 100% guarantee that these are the type that aren't fused-on microdrive...but since they are so cheap, I would say its a fair assesment that they went the route of "cheap bulk order of microdrives + cheap CF->USB adapter, plug them together, put a cheap plastic shell on, and sell sell sell!". I wish I could do even more research into if these would work for Axims but I really do not have the money to do it :(
