Is there a better Axim deal right now from Dell?
I have found 2 $45 stackable coupons (from fatwallet). I can order an Axim 400 with a pack of screen protectors for just under $280. Anyone got info on a better deal?

They are currently out of stock, but www.compgeeks.com has had the 400 Mhz Axim (refurb) for $200! I would suggest to check their site every day until they get them back in. I saw they had some yesterday, then last night, it was sold out again. They have also had the 300 Mhz with the cradle for $150, and without the cradle for $132.50. If you don't mind only have a 3 month warranty, go with them.

I ordered one of the refurb units for my brother on Monday, so it won't get here until Thurs. I will have personal experience about the condition then, but from what I have read in various threads, the reburbs appear to be brand new in condition. It seems that any problems with them were fixed to like new condition.

Most likely, the problem that was fixed on the refurb units (as with most of the returned units) was the D-Pad issue. This, from what I hear, was a really easy problem to repair.

I don't see why you would want to get a refurb for $200 when you can get a brand new one for $233... Doesn't seem worth it to me to take the risk... Just my opinion...

Well, they have the 300 Mhz for only $132.50. That seems like a pretty good deal to me. As for the risk, you still get a 3 month warranty, just not the whole year. So it isn't a BIG risk.

Yeah, I guess that's not bad... But, I don't know if the 300mhz version is really worth it though... The speed isn't the big deal, it's the RAM/ROM that would make the Advanced model more worth it in my opinion...

I agree... Always nice to have the extra RAM/ROM available for those really cool games you can play on your Axim!

With tax (because i'm in Tx..) I would have ended up paying $269 with shipping from dell. I paid a total of $218 to compgeeks w/2nd day air..
