BTW, my point is this. The Advantage is .6" thick by itself. If you add the case and KB then it doubles. That makes it unpocketable to me.

Thanks Steve.

As a bit of an update on my last post.
The usb host ports in the docking station can be a bit finicky. Sometimes you have to soft reset to fire them up, but it's not a big problem.
I tried a four port mini hub, it didn't like that at all.
120 gb external HDD isn't recognised, bit of a shame.
Various thumb drives, up to 8Gb so far, work instantly.
Still haven't tried a card reader, would like to be able to use my CF cards.
I picked up a nice generic BT mouse today for 10 euros. All functions worked without a problem.

I'm sure I'll post some more later.

I bought the PDair 7500/01 case and if you leave the keyboard out
it still is pocketable in jackets but definitely not everyday sports shirts.

Box, which docking station do you have? I've recently seen references to an X7500 docking station from Expansys here, and
I've also seen a docking station for the X7500/7501 here.

The Expansys is about $108USD and the Convergent is about $60USD. I think the Expansys has 2 usb ports whereas the Convergent has only 1.
Below the Expansys is on the left (back facing), and the Expansys is on the right.

Hi Breley

I have the Expansys one.
It's smaller and much more portable, which is good for me. And yes it has two usb ports.
The little arm that is sticking up in the picture, folds down flat to make it even more compact.
My only issue with it has been that it sometimes doesn't want to connect, but a soft reset fixes that.
I just timed a soft reset, it takes 30 seconds including putting my phone PIN in.

I find the second usb port very handy. I usually have my Keyboard dongle in one and a thumbdrive in the other.
Combine that with a BT mouse and Robert is your fathers brother.

I'd be interested to know about the other one, it looks a lot bigger, perhaps the single usb port will accept a hub. I haven't found one amongst my collection that will work with it yet.
The other difference is that mine doesn't have a place for the keyboard, but I don't think I would use it even if it did.

Have you never heard the saying, "Bob's your uncle"?

So yes, your translation is correct.

Am I wrong in assuming that both of the 2 docking systems
require the removal from from the carrying case if you use
one.

I believe you are right, at least with the one I have.
I think you would with the bigger one as well, judging by the photo.
