Advantage Speed Tests

I never did find my t-mobile SIM card but here are some pics of the AT&T results using the www.dslreports.com/mspeed test that Brandon Miniman over at pocketnow.com suggested:

So is this good or bad? This test was based on a 100k file download

Here's an image taken with the phone in flight mode connected to Wi-Fi

I'm pretty sure this is real good. This test was based on a 1MB download.

the wifi is good, on mine (in phoenix) I get 12-1300kbit/sec also with PIE, but only 6-700kbit/sec under opera, not sure why, both cache files to the same drive etc (microdrive)

however, for wireless, as infrequently as I use it, I'm sticking with dial-up networking (bluetooth connection) to my motorola e-815 (non sim phone, on verizion) .. using that, I get 300-345 kbit/sec

What s difference a change in location can have

My original AT&T wireless speed test screen capture was taken inside a concrete building in Cambridge. I captured this screenshot at home in my cosy wooden house.

Huge improvement in speed. :approve:
From comparing the two images I can see that I was only getting 3G while at work. At home I am getting full HSDPA. The icon in the upper right corner should have tipped me off right away.
