Using the advantage on the road
To anybody who actually has an advantage.... have you ever tried to play an MP-3 or other music file with the shift while using the gps? This could do away with three pieces of dash board clutter... the gps, the mp-3 and the phone.
Just leaving the advantage and a radar detector.
Anybody tried it or willing to try?

I just went out on the front porch and accessed gps and messed around with some maps. At the same time played an mp3 using the speakers and turned on my phone but I did not use it - getting hot out there.

I do this occasionally. As a standard practice, everytime I get in my car, I slide my X7501 into my windshield mount and use Voice Command to fire up my gps. I use iGuidance V4. If you liked the Dell Axim gps software, you will LOVE iGuidance (I do). Usually, I use a Jawbone headset. But when my Jawbone's battery is low, I use my Plantronics 590 bluetooth head phones. They integrate seamlessly with the phone. I launch Media Player and run it in the background. The gps runs in the foreground until the phone is active. Once the call is over, the screen goes back to the gps and the audio goes back to media player. The Advantage handles it all in stride!
