Meadowlark, I used to use Mighty Sync and don't remember having a problem. But now I just have one very large Excel spreadsheet in the "my documents" folder of my pocket pc's desktop folder. It syncs fine.
The Following User Says Thank You to stevenator65 For This Useful Post:
Mighty Sync would only work if I reinstalled it, then it froze the desktop. When I went to Handango site, it said Might Sync was not compatible, so I figured that was the problem.
I am trying to sync client folders - the ones I want with me changes from day to day. Trying Easy Sync now, which has not worked too well. Easy Sync does not seem to keep my folders separate, but rather combines all folders into sub-folders of every client. Thus, if I have 6 client folders, all 6 will have sub-folders containg the folders from the other 5.
For now, I am using the miniSD card in the desktop to just copy paste, and waiting to hear from Easy Sync.
It is entirley possible the problem is the way in which I set it up and synced, because so far, I have not found a program that actually works for me!
Congrats Breley! What do you have installed on yours? I have the following:
RealVGA (from xda dev)
iLauncher
PlanMaker

I purchased MightySync today, because after deleting and running a registry scan to remove things, it was working well. Tonight, when I went to sync client folders, it crashed again and had to close.
I have now downloaded MobSyn and will give it a try. I also tried easy Sync, and it was too complex for what I am trying to do. Support was great, however, and kept after the problem I was having. I just do not have the time to figure it out. Looking for something simple.
I'm sorry Easy Sync was not what you wanted. I was thinking of taking a look at it and asked the company if I can review it.
Steve:
Easy Sync may have been more than I needed. I believe it is a really powerful program that I just had no time to figure out. I just needed something simple, and ES was not that! Support was great. Even though I only had a trial version, they answered my emails and attempted to see what was going on with the sync. I just did not have the time to explain, in detail, what was happening, and they could not seem to figure it out from my shorter explanations.
I would love to see you review this program and get your take on it. I would really look forward to that review.
Well I finally received the HTC Advantage I won on Aximsite/Mobilitysite
contest today, due to post office problems it's taken 1-1/2 months.
So now the learning curve starts again.
Well I have already uploaded my favorite utils
but as usual it takes 2-3 reads of the bible that
came with it to capture some of the concepts
regarding an all in one versus my good old 51v.
Don't be suprised if I post some stupid questions.
I read posts about the camera being poor but this
one is very good with excellent results.
Does everyone just put pics/movies on SD cards?
I put pix and movies on the SD. I bought a 4GB microSD with an adpater. I also think the cam is pretty decent. Bigst, what software did you load onto yours?
I thought Adv used miniSD anyway I put my
registered copy of MemMaid,TotalCommander,
PocketRar and Tcpmp on as they basically do everything
that I want to accomplish.
Well what can I say,I haven't got carried away with new toy
syndrome for a while but the 7501 has refired it up.
Loaded up a lot of my 51v favorites and they seem to work
1-nandp freecell
2-MisurdaSoft Radar Watch 2
3-Vicsoft UI Tweaker
4-Aspecto Software WiFiFoFum
5-Beemer WifiKnife
6-PHM Reg Editor
7-Dell Navigation System *note

9-GPS info
10-Namco Pac-Man
11-RARLAB pocket RAR

* Dell does not access internal gps on com5@4800 baud
I know it's built in as I can see it with GPS Info app
any hints would be appreciated.
Wifi works but requires different setting "Internet connect" verses Ax51v "Work".
I am still working on phone scenerios tho as it recognizes my Rogers pay as you go simcard
but apparently the sim has some issues.
I picked up 2gb miniSD at Tigerdirect for $19.00 works great!
Great collection Bigstr. I don't know how to help you on the gps. I installed TT6, set it to com port 8, and it works but takes forever to get a fix. I wonder which is the correct port?
Well the trouble with the Dell/Navteq that came with my Ax51v
is that when I goto Options for ports it only allows "Autodetect"
and I have had much luck with that,so I am working on pairing
my BT332 to work with the 7501.
By the way I was in the mall today looking for a carrying case/folder
for the 7501 and found one for $15.00 on sale at a chain store
for luggage and leather goods called Bentley's,really nice with
tons of features.
While there I went into ROGERs store and was lucky enough to
bump into a techie sales person who was flabergasted by the
feature rich 7501,he was so enthused he popped his simcard
out of his Blackberry and proceeded to setup my 7501 for the
ROGERS network so now the phone works also with my simcard.
Now the last hurdle is the GPS and as I said I know the 7501
has internal GPS by using the GPS INFO app and it is on Com 5
@ 4800 baud.
Onward and upward-man I just love learning curves, without them
life is dull.
