JK on the Run had a post saying that Comp USA was selling the Advantage 7501 for $539 in their going out of business sale. I located a store 140 miles away and snagged one.
My first impressions are that it's bigger and heavier than I thought it would be. The screen is glorious. I need to get gps software for it b/c I don't have a sim card and won't be using the built in gps software. Which gps software works with WM6?
The keyboard is an odd size. It seems too large for thumb typing and too small for touch typing. Guess I'll have to get used to it.
The built in Opera Browser is a heck of a lot better than IE.
I'm going to have to get used to the heft.
I saw a link for tcmp .72 but can't find it. Don't Panic, didn't you leave the link? Can you remind me where it is?
Hey Stevenator, If you cannot find TCPMP I have a copy w/ a ton of plugins, and since it is freeware anyway, it is probably ok for me to upload it for you.

Thanks for the link and the comments. I'll try to post some pics so people can see what it looks like. I know there are other pictures out there, but if you see it next to familiar objects it gives you a better idea of its size.
Unit zero put together a great package with all the codex's for tcpmp. I'm very mobile and on a strange connection or I would find the link for you.
Search for "all known codex for tcpmp" by "unit zero" or something like that.

I have read nearly every review on the Advantage, and I think yours is the best. Great photos, great simple explanations, clear layout and straight to the point details made it outstanding. Great job!
Since CES 2008 unveiled nothing I "had" to have.... I hope to be getting an Advantage soon (I was sad when I saw staff wasn't able to enter the contest for the Advantage :bang: )
I'll be interested to hear what programs, etc you have installed :)

I see you have TextMaker and was wondering how you keep documents synced between the Advantage and desktop? I am very frustrated by the programs I have tried. MightySync did not work at all.
I am now trying Easy Sync, which is duplicating documents within folders and spreading them throughout folders on both my desktop and the Advantage. I am trying to keep individual client folders separate, with only those client docs in each folder.
I really do want to use this as my portable office/UMPC, but can not figure out how to organize the folders and keep the individual. If I can not do that, the usefullness of the device is limited.
