Advantage Case

I never use the keyboard b/c I have found that ZoomBoard is just as good and lightens my load. I want to find a leather case like the Sena for the x51v that I could use with my Advantage and make the overall thickness far less. The included case is very thick. Has anyone found anything?

If money is no object, check here at Piel Frama. Proporta has some nice cases too.

Thanks Breley. But I want a slim leather case that doesn't hold the keyboard. Those Piel cases are lovely but very thick and heavy. I will check out the Boxwave case. I can't tell from the photos whether it hold the keyboard or not, but I hope to find out shortly. Do you use your kb?

I mostly just use the keyboard as a stand.
If I want to do any serious typing I just plug in my wirless keyboard.
I'd love to find a good belt case, it's not too big for a pocket but I think it would be just that bit more comfy on your belt.

I meant to include the Boxwave case link someone mentioned on Engadget but somehow my (re)edit didn't take.

I do use my keyboard occasionally, but like Box also use a BT keyboard that has larger keys. I have to admit I do like using the native keyboard as a stand and as a screen protector. Maybe I'm overly paranoid, but a nearly 5" diagonal screen seems like it is large enough to get more easily damaged unprotected, however that Boxwave case does indeed look very tempting. If you get it you ought to review it...or maybe request a review copy. I'd love to see how well it works. I do like the screen/key cutouts for use while in the case.

Box, when did you get an Advantage? Last I heard you missed out on getting an X7500.

I managed to pick one up, new, for a great price a couple of days after that. So I've had it a couple of weeks. It's the 7500.
I posted a few of my thoughts Here.

I was just in Baltimore for a week working a trade show. I tried to keep the Advantage in my pocket, but people kept asking me if "that's an Advantage in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" Because it's a bit large. I personally think ZoomBoard is faster and easier to use than the KB. I don't have a large kb, and I can't imagine I'd want to carry one around. I just want to reduce the size so I can keep it in my pocket or maybe on a belt.

I will definitely review it.

Box, I read that post. It's fantastic. Do you have photos of your sculptures?

BTW, my point is this. The Advantage is .6" thick by itself. If you add the case and KB then it doubles. That makes it unpocketable to me.

For comparison 7501 with PDair and Axim 51v.

Price was a factor in choosing the PDair from CASES.COM
along with the 15% Aximsite discount it was $39.95 and
appears to be well built along with its added protective
padding.

Hah, somebody ought to invent a Mobile Gadget Bandolier, something akin to one of those Biker Bandoliers.

Of course that might not look so hot paired with a business suit, and run the risk of checking for weapons at every airport and office building, but hey.

Boxwave case, and cleartouch screen protector on the way. I can't wait to replace the included screen protector, it's really crappy. I hope the Boxwave case is light. I will post reviews.
