Has anyone experienced this when using AT&T network?
I was able to install Logmein, and using PIE, was able to get through and see my desktop on the Advantage. However, when I clicked to activate and go to a remote session, I keep getting dumped back to the log in page. I called Logmein support, who told me this is a problem with AT&T network. Specifically, MediaNet. Apparently if I disbale the proxy for MediaNet, I will be able to access my computer through Logmein.
I was sent a file to disable the proxy. Here is the message from Logmein. I was impressed that they would offer this support, since I am only running the Free version right now.
"Hi ,
Some of our users have experienced problems connecting to their PCs over AT&T's network. After clicking on your PC from the My Computers page, it may require you to log in to LogMeIn.com again, and may repeat this process several times, before allowing you access. This is due to the proxy server that AT&T's Media Net service utilizes.
Instead of connecting through AT&T's network, try connecting to a WiFi access point. This will make AT&T's proxy irrelevant, as you'd be using a different means of connectivity. You should not experience this problem when connecting this way.
If using WiFi is not an option, there is a way to stop your phone from using the proxy. If you have a program called Proxy Manager in your Pocket PC's programs folder, then you may use that. If you do not have that program, then you may download the zip file attached. Extract the zip file on your PC and move the two CAB files to your Pocket PC. Open ProxyOff.CAB on your Pocket PC to disable the proxy or open ProxyOn.CAB to enable the proxy.
Please be advised that turning the proxy off will disable all AT&T Media Net features. With the proxy disabled, you should not be able to access
http://device.home/ from your mobile device. If you are able to open that page, the proxy is still enabled.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank you"
