mental ambiguity

Got word from the insurance company today that the 8125 is not repairable. I must have dropped it really good.

So, with the policy I have, I'm covered up for $500. Apparently they'll be sending me a check for the device, based on the amount it's going for on Cingular's site. Given that it's $499.99 on Cingular's site, I'm expecting that amount.

That said, I think I'm going to go for an 8525. On Cingular's site it's only $50 more. And, I think that I can get a good deal (maybe even at cost) at my local guy. Don't know yet, but I've already told them to put one to the side for me when they get them in.

Strange how this worked out.

Anyway, I'll post a review of my experience with the insurance company once everything is completed. So far it's been a pretty positive experience.
