Before you burn anything down, I would suggest reviewing your contract to see if you are paying for a repair plan. If so, it should be covered by that option on your contract. If not, return to the store anyways to obtain their assistance in determining what the problem is.
If they hand you a battery used in one of the floor models, and YOUR 8525 works fine, then they need to replace your battery, which was defective, and should still be covered by the warranty even if they wish to claim a technicality for not providing you with a replacement.
Obviously, if you can find the rubber covering for the antenna, that would help...
It's conceivable that the system detected the loss of the covering, but I doubt it...
