Susan, is your pda data plan for the Dell Axim x51v or the AT&T device? Or does it really matter or is AT&T a stickler for only their pdas? Also, how do you get set up; does the rep walk you through putting entries in on your phone, etc?

The data plan is for the AT&T 8525. I also got 3 Samsung phones for the kids. She offered to show me how to use it (and was really nice)...but I said "No thanks" . I had read about the phone and watched a few videos...so I was familiar with how it worked. She didn't looked convinced, so I picked up the phone and proceeded to make a phone call.

I went home and added my "must have" programs... and was good to go...

I never have been a "read the manual" person.. I always turn it on and see what it does....

data is enabled on all these devices automatically, so the reps need do nothing to the devices themselves. If you don't get a data plan, you will pay ala cart pricing per k transferred... a BAD idea
