Active Sync Proxy Issue
I've been using Active Sync and WinCE/Pocket PC devices for several years. I recently gave up my Dell Axim x51v for a Cingular 8525. I have noticed an odd behaviour on the 8525. My Active Sync is set to sync email with the Exchange server. Both networks on the Network Managament page are set to use Media Net (no proxy is set). I also sync via USB with my desktop for files, notes and internet favorites. Here's where it gets strange. After I sync with the desktop I can no longer sync with Exchange over Media Net. When I check the Media Net connection the proxy is now turned on and set to use the same proxy as my desktop computer. It appears that Active Sync is altering my Media Net connection. Has anyone ever seen this?

I don't sync with an Exchange box, but I can tell you medianet is a pain. I use the My ISP setting for everything and never have problems like when MediaNet was the default.
