8525 for $75 or Tilt for $299
Ok, Not sure which forum to post this in, so I'll start here.

I've got the option of getting an 8525 for $75 (awesome AT&T Premier pricing on a new device, not the refurb on the regular site)

- OR -

a Tilt for $299.

Which would you go for? Why?

I know the Tilt wins hands down in an out and out contest, but I thought I'd throw in the pricing as a possible influencer. To be up front, I'm considering going with the 8525, but I wonder if there are arguments the other way?

Thanks for your help.

If you favor built-in gps then the gap narrows considerably. Plus, over a 2 year period it's not going to feelso bad to pay $300 now. In two years it will still sell for $150 to $200.

From a former 8525 owner to a current Tilt owner I can tell you the Tilt is worth the money. The GPS is awesome. I loved this phone more than I like my x50v when it first came out.

Get the Tilt!

PS: Posted from my Tilt!

So, you're not missing the bigger screen of the X50V? That, the mini-SD, and the tests next week are all that are keeping me from getting the 8925.

Wow. This almost eliminates the issues with micro-SD, doesn't it?

Still, I like what the i-mate (6150 & 8150) have to offer.

Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for the advice so far, I like some of the reasons.
I'm not totally in love with the on the Tilt as there are varying degrees of sucess using it with 3rd party apps. I use a WBT-201 as a datalogger/BT GPS with my x51V currently, and GPS hasn't been the mountain-mover I thought it'd be.

I'd like to know what the tests next week are.

I do like the bigger screen of the Axim x51v (wish there were a phone in the Ax!).

I think what I'm going to do is get the 8525 even though the memory and processor of the Tilt make me want to go for it. My reasoning is my company will add the Tilt to their list of approved devices in a couple of months so I just need the 8525 to get by for a little while until I can get it though my employer. =) Win/Win!

Follow-ups. I'll have results mid-week. No point in saying any more until then.
