Phone function problem
Hi,
I've had my 8525 for over a year coming from both Dell Axims, X5 and X30H.
Over all the 8525 has been great. Today the phone function malfunctioned. I cannot pull up the keypad via the key or the screen entry. When I go to phone settings, network tab and try to find a network it keeps saying no service.

Has anyone else had these problems? I'm not even sure how to do a hard reset. Looking at the pdf manual now. It also isn't synching as of today. Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: I can't even pull up contacts or calendar. What is the deal????/

try a reset by poking the stylus into the reset hole on the bottom (just above the battery latch)

If that doesn't work there is a control Panel called "Clear Storage" which will do the hard reset

Synched contacts will still be in Outlook, so no problem there
documents can just be copied from main memory to SD.

Of course, you could try running SPB backup or similar, but I'd be more concerned with backing up the errors...

Had to resort to the hard reset. Synching now.
What is the name of the WM6 upgrade rom file? I have it but don't remember what it is/was called.
Should I upgrade the ROM to WM6? Is it difficult?

I have several threads in regards to ROM upgrades here.

Many are very nice and there are so many vareities that you can hunt and pick for the configuration you like.

If you are new to flashing ROMs you need to READ READ READ before you jump in.

I also suggest you avoid 6.1 ROMs as they are still kind of problematic... stay to 6.0 versions as they are well developed and very tight.
