Modem Setup for the 8525

Recently purhcased a Cingular 8525 which I understand can also be used as a modem for my laptop. I have a T41p IBM thinkpad. Attempting to connect via BT, both are in discovery mode but my laptop does not find the 8525.
I use activesync which works well syncing with Outlook. I tried to connect the 8525 as modem via usb but again no discovery.
I've read several forums but nothing giving specify instructions. Please help!

Thanks
David

you need to install the HTC modem driver on the laptop (on the CD that came with the phone)
turn off activesync
enable the modem function of the phone in the comm panel
connect USB cable

Radimus,
What do you use to get the icons and screen views? If downloaded a theme but it does not have icons, weather etc

those are probably from iLauncher, PocketWeather, or some such 3rd party app.

Are you meaning something specific?

Most "themes" are just the wallpaper and colored toolbars. Wisbar advance can seriously change the look and feel, but on a phone device memory is a premium

I've downloaded some themes but the application buttons on your screen are nice. I purchased a memory card to save the themes etc.
Thanks for you help.
I continue to learn everyday with this unit.
