Well my phone contract is up in a month, so i've been looking around for something with a decent Data tarrif.

Which in the UK means either 3 or T-Mobile... and while I was in a t-mobile store I was offered a great deal on their rebadged Hermes.. the Vario II

So I've had it a few hours now and I'm quite impressed. It certainly seems very quick, and the 3G speed is fantastic... The small screen is going to take some getting used to, and there's no vga so browsing isn't as much fun.. but I can browse everywhere.. and I suppose i can get my axim to piggy back on the 3g connection and get the best of both worlds.

The screen is it's biggest drawback, especially when compared to the axim. But it's feature set more than makes up for it

Radimus, the screen being the drawback... Are you referring to the real estate? I agree, it definitely is small. When I finally went converged and got rid of my hx4705, I couldn't get over the difference between that and the 8125. Now I'm used to it, but it does take some time..

The Axim x50v and x51v has one of the biggest and clearest VGA screens, "downgrading" to the 8525's smaller and lower res screen was a big hurdle.

All that being said, I don't regret the change at all
