Blue light means that the blue tooth is turned on, the same thing happened to me when I tried to start the GPS using Pocket Streets.
For those that are curious I went to flight mode and thge GPS still worked. I am assuming flight mode is used while you are on an aircraft where the phone needs to be turned off and lets you use the PDA with the phone function turned off.

Blue light indicates blue tooth is operating, when Pocket Streets is started it looks for a blue tooth GPS.
I just tried GPS Sentry and it works with the tilt GPS, google search to find out high to get it.

Tech support at VITO, makers of Astro Navigator II, tell me that they do not respond to the Tilt's type of GPS (yet) and recommend that I download and use software called GPSGate, that will bind the Tilt GPS with Astro Navigator GPS. It apparently is a $10/month service with afree 10 day trial.
Does anyone have any experience with GPSGate? Seems like a lot of expense just to track star maps.

You can buy Garmin XT mobile on a pre-release, release in a couple of weeks. I also read someone downloaded OCN6 onto a Tilt micro flash and reports it works.

Hey all;
Just to clarify things - Astro navigator II is, as the name inplies, an Astronomy Navigator!
Haven't you looked up at the clear night sky and wonder what star is so bright? Or when the weather guy says Jupiter is visible at 4 AM (i'm up), where the heck it is.
I do not know of another Astronomy GPS program out there.
Sorry for any confusion.

Do any of the GPS programs interact with your contact manager? Could I just look up a contact, and then tell it to navigate to that contact's address, without typing in that address?

Also, I have a version of Tom Tom that I used with a bluetooth GPS and my old Axim. Would that work if I installed it on the Tilt?

OK, I am going to post this in both this thread and the GPS tread, maybe it will give more information to other folks.
I downloaded and used Chartcross GPS 1.04, which showed me the GPS satellite locations and confirmed that I was working out of COMM4.
I posted on XDA.com, and others said that they also had trouble connecting with Google Maps and Windows Live Search.
They say that both of these programs can take a long time to initialize and connect to the Tilt GPS receiver, causing it to timeout.
So, the logical question is, what is the availability of a utility that extends the GPS receiver search time for the Tilt?

does the tilt require a data package or wifi connection for the gps to work as there are areas without either connection where gps would be of value

No, it doesn't need data, but quickgps needs internet access to help the gps aquire satellites faster. This can be done over wifi or active sync...
