Making the Plunge from I to II; Any Software Issues?
Having been using WM5 on my Hermes, what, if any, problems will I encounter when I move up to the Tilt, with WM6?
Are there any hardware issues involved with software? What about popular applications that run on WM5 and may not run on WM6?
As a longtime Palm user, the forums always updated the software do's and dont's when new versions of the Palm operating system came out.
Currently, I rely heavily on some medical programs such as Lexi-Drugs and some Skyscape books.
I'm also interested in the core applications such as Pocket Informant, Pocket Breeze, Weather Panel, ListPro 5, eWallet, the Handy series (Handymenu et al), PhatNotes 5, PhoneAlarm, Resco, Opera, and Spb Insight and Backup
It's great to learn from the folks who bought and programmed the 1st Tilt's available! Thanks for the input!! :approve:

Most everything I saw on your software looks to be WM6 compatible. I have had no issues with WM6. It's just vista and mobile device center that should be thrown in the garbage!
If you haven't already, check out my review on mobilitySite.com :)
You should have no issues other than having to see a plastic surgeon to remove the smile from your face. The Tilt is faster, more memory, better keyboard (except sliding out in the opposite direction which i do not like) better camera, GPS!!!!!!, and sprite back up free! Read the reviews and start drooling!

I am running the ever resource heavy Spb Mobile Shell and it runs great on my Tilt. I am also running Spb Weather, Pocket Plus and Phone Suite.

I have loaded most of the SBSH software, and many astraware games, listpro, codewallet pro, flexmail 3007, etc and haven't had any issues...
no need for soft reset (yet)

I still find myself using PIE or PIE+, mainly out of habit
Opera takes a little getting used to...but MUCH better viewing experience!
Susan
(who has both on all her devices, lol)

Does NetFront work on it? I prefer it over Opera and PIE.

Interesting last few posts.
I downloaded Spb Pocket Plus 4, which just was released, because it spices up IE by giving it a mock IE7 appearance, with tabs, plus some other new stuff.
Coincidently, just as I downloaded the above program, I had just set some parameters with Tweak2K2, which i installed over the weekend, but hadn't programmed.
WOW...everything slooowed down and I kept getting freezes. I deleted Tweak2K2 and no relief, so I deleted Pocket Plus 4 and still no better.
Time to do my 1st hard reset. (see new thread)
I restored last nights backup and all is golden again, but that's it for me with those 2 programs!
