Thinking of buying one...

But I have a few questions. I want a phone that has good web viewing of all types of pages (I want full pages with no limitations, just like my home browser). I'll be using the phone mostly for web browsing, Gmail and music.

I have been researching the Tilt vs the iPhone for a while now and I guess the question really comes down to web browsing. How limited is Safari on web pages? I hear that it does not support java or flash? Also I have seen the vids showing that Safari is just as fast at loading pages even though it is on the slower network when compared to PIE (I am in a 3G area). I have also heard that that Opera Mini is much faster...so is there a comparison of safari vs. opera mini? Is opera Mini comperable or better and faster than Safari on the iPhone?

The ease of use on the iPhone is nice but I am good enough with computers to have no problems with WM6 either...

Thanks
Tom

i have both.

safari is faster than opera. also a bit quicker to navigate. you CANNOT copy/paste with an iphone, however.

for most people this might not be a big deal, but for someone who wants something like that of a desktop browser, opera (or windows mobile in general) is the way to go.

pie is crippled, but a little nicer in wm6. get opera mini or opera. otherwise there are a couple browsers that will be coming out soon for windows mobile which are using webkit which should make everything even more efficient and compatable.

the Tytn II is probably the best pda/phone ever made because of the memory it has and built in functionality. it far exceeds the iphone in functionality and expansion.

neither the iphone, nor the tilt have support for flash as of yet.

not sure which is more durable, but i guess the iphone is much flashier and externally appealing...

just my $.02
