Movies and videos on Tilt
I am looking forward to getting a TILT in the next month or so. I use my Axim 50v and evan my Blackjack to watch movies and videos. How well does the Tilt do this. I am concerned as I keep reading one of the flaws is the terrible video playback and poor video driver. I use Fairuse to recode the movies the Axim.
Anyone have any feedback on how well it works.
thanks

It should not be called terrible. There are more capabilities in the processor than are being used, and it could be even better. But it is not terrible at all.
Read about it at: http://tiltsite.com/2008/01/htcs-off...-driver-issue/

I am looking to use this as a real convergence device and not have to carry my Axim if I want to watch movies. Compared to the Axim how does the Tilt compare?

I have both Dell Axim x51v and AT&T Tilt
IMO..No comparison....
Dell Axim x51v has great video playback...
AT&T Tilt is just OK...

I moved to a Tilt from an Axim X30 running WM2003. The Axim is WAY better at playing videos than the Tilt. I wouldn't call the Tilt "terrible," but it is very disappointing that a brand new device that is supposed to be one of the most powerful handhelds on the market is flat-out embarrassed by a device that is five years old.

Hi all I'll be getting my Tilt here pretty soon, but I had a quick question. Whilst playing around with my friend's Tilt The CV streaming is bloody small. Is there a way to enlarge this to a full screen? I've seen video of streaming news on the Tilt, but I can't for the life of me fiqure out how to enlarge the video.

whats CV streaming??
im happy with my TyTN II. slingplayer works wonderfully over edge and 3g, im happy with the new version of coreplayer, and i love my pocket player from conduits. great device for all things media. not as nice as my iphone, but the iphone has no slingplayer yet :)
id recommend coreplayer and pocket player for your windows mobile devices

There is currently a $5200.00 bounty and growing for the first person that can develope a working set of drivers for the Kaiser.
http://tiltsite.com/2008/01/xda-vide...bounty-500000/
There is also a lot of discussion about class action lawsuits. All of which is aimed at getting HTC's attention, which I feel we now have. I do think there will be drivers developed in the next several months. This problem is not isolated to the Tilt, but to several HTC devices. Keep your fingers crossed!
