Voice Dialing from PTT Button

New Tilt user here, and loving it. Except for one nagging problem. Moving to the Tilt from an old Motorola phone has left me pining for easy Voice Dialing. I've played around with the voice dialer that came with the Voice Speed Dial program that came on the Tilt, but quickly became frustrated with training commands and properly assigning them to different numbers. A friend suggested I look into a voice command program from Microsoft, but I'm not sure what that is.

Here's what I want to do: I'd like to remap the PTT button (nicely placed, and I'm not using PTT) so that when I press it I can say, "Call Home" or whatever and it places the call.

Is this possible? What's the best way to set this up?

Go the XDA Developers website & look around. There is one for the 8525 but I am not sure if it will work with the Tilt or not.

goto xda-developers site...
register...
Find Task Manager; download it
Find OEM_Assign_PTT_Button.CAB; download it
Follow instructions from some other guy below...

1. You need the two files attached herewith, copied onto your Sd Storage Card
2. Start the Task manager and in the "processes drop down window, select RegEdit.
3. In the registry navigate to the hklm\services\ptt
4. Click and hold on to the yellow ptt folder, then a prompt appears, select "Delete" then exit. Do a Soft Reset.
5. Click on "Start" and File Explorer, Storage card and install the OEM_Assign_PTT_Button.CAB onto your device.
6. Do a Soft Reset.
7. Go to Star\Settings\Buttons and you should see the "Button 6" and "button 6 Press & Hold"
8. Select which ever button you want to assign and select the program you wish.
Good luck.
