Newb question I'm sure but I would like to know if flashing a new ROM to be device will wipe out all my settings and programs.

If so, is there an easy process for reinstalling all the programs you have?

If you installed programs to the storage card do you have to reformat it?

2: look in the 8525 forum for my setup logs and how I do it
3: no, but you often have to reinstall

Remember, on the Tilt you have to CID unlock your device first. I used pof's HARD spl and it worked great. MAKE SURE YOU READ WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE BEFORE YOU SWAP ROMS! Also, read the Wiki's on know issues and fixs. IE: the HTC weather plug in. Dutty's v4 requires a new .dll file.

Thank you for the replies.

I have already gotten the original FLASH process down and currently have Duttys v3 running.

Logic was telling me that flashing another ROM would wipe out the programs but I was in denial.

I did find the following on xda, though: SettingsSavior v0.97 - Auto Cab Installs are better, bug fixes. - xda-developers . Supposedly this program will allow you to install multiple cabs/settings etc. I have yet to delve deeply into this thread, though. If anybody else has tried please let us know how it went!
