Clarity on Compatibility

I'm about to pull the trigger and get a Tilt, but i saw some mention somewhere the other day about WM6 not using Active Sync. Is that true and am I going to have a bunch of problems? I have XP, an old Axim, a Moto Q w/WM5--all working thru Active Sync. If the Tilt requires the new--what is it--Media Center something for syncing, are those two going to live side by side and work with XP? I thought the new version of Active Sync was for Vista. Obviously I'm starting to mix apples and oranges in my mind. Is there a thread i've missed that explains this? I've read lots of Tilt reviews but haven't run across this subject?

Yeah I know, but does WM6 require WMDC? That was what I thought I read but can't relocate to verify/clarify. That's what happens when you try to be a speed reader---and you're not....

Widows Vista Does Not Use Activesync But Rather Uses Window Mobile Device Center. It Deos Not Matter Wheter Your Device Is Wm6 Or Wm5. If You Are Using Win Xp You Will Be Using Activesync. With Win Vist You Would Use Windows Mobile Device Center.
