how to change the windows buttons at the bottom of the display

I installed another desktop program, which I quickly removed in favor of HTC home. The program set the bottom left button on the screen (to the left of the button that pulls up the screen keyboard) to be named "Home" and now I can't figure out how to get it back to it's original configuration. When I hit the button, it pulls up a box that warns that the requested file is missing.

I'm sure it's not tough to do, but I've messed with it for a while and am coming up empty. How can I assign this soft button to another function?

Come to think of it, can the middle button (the screen keyboard callup) be reassigned?

Look in the downloads section here, I just posted an app to reassign the softkeys.
