Closing applications

Hi, where is the setting to close an application by holding the X on the top corner? Thanks for any help

There isn't one; you need another bit of software to close programs. You can use the switcher bar program that comes with recent Axims, or you can get alternatives like Magic Button, iLauncher, or others.

edit: oops--sorry-I didn't catch that you were in the thread about the htc's; thanks psionandy and jadesse for giving better answers!

My tyTn I (variant) has the HTC X button built into the rom.. If yours does as well you can find it it the settings System tab (may be called task manager?)

I use Magic Button Not only does it give you an x that actually closes but it makes the top bar similar to a taskbar, which is great for switching between open programs, and its free.

I use the task manager and it works great for me. If you click on the TM (upper right) and choose options and then the button tab, it's right there. You can choose to end a program by tapping or by holding the X.

Now that I look at it there's another option to show the (TM) quick menu on the today screen (upper right corner). Maybe that's why so many complain about the function. They just don't see it there.
